DESCRIPTION
I created this animation for the Reduce Restraint Network (RRN), a National Quality Improvement Taskforce established to improve current specialist children and young people’s inpatient mental health, autism and learning disability services in England.

The Post-Incident Debriefing and Support Toolkit was commissioned by NHS England in support of its work on the use restrictive practices. It was co-produced with children, young people and their families and we would like to thank them for their huge contribution and collaborative efforts in creating these important resources.
PROCESS:
I created this using a combination of hand-drawn cel animation in Photoshop, and traditional animation in After Effects. The client gave me a pre-written script, which I had to first create a storyboard for, as well as character design sketches. The client was keen for the main character to not have an obvious gender, so that they could be relatable to both male and females.
